EDGING

Edging material is available in 1' x 12' sheets only. It is applied like a regular laminate. If using a light color Kinon be sure to use primer on both the laminate and the surface to be laminated. Please contact your local sales rep for paint references depending on which product you are using.

We recommend the use of 3M Double Coated Tape 9832 instead of contact cement as in our testing, the product achieves a much smoother surface, excellent adhesion and provides cleaner and easier application.

STEP 1
Apply 3M Double Coated Tape 9832 to the surface being laminated

STEP 2
Fix Kinon edging material to surface edge
Step_2

STEP 3
Cut away excess material with hand router
Step_3

STEP 4
File down

STEP 5
Sand with an Orbital Sander. Firstly with 1000 grit, then with 1200 grit

STEP 6
Buff with a buffing machine and use 3M ‘Perfect-It’ 3000 polishing compound and then 3M Machine Glaze. Always use separate polishing bonnets with each compound.
